Pokémon trips presents the return of an iconic rival of Ash

Throughout the Pokémon franchise in the anime, the main character has had multiple rivals, since in each of the regional leagues he has encountered great power. One of the best known is neither more nor less than Gary Oak, but now in the episodes of the new season someone from Sinnoh will make the return of him.

According to the most recent advance of Pokémon trips, The coach Paul will meet the protagonist of Paleta town to have a new confrontation before the final league. As is well known, the character was one of the great obstacles to win, and indirectly gave him a Chimchar A Ash, since the young man abandoned him after losing a fight.

It is worth commenting, that Paul has been one of the most formidable coaches that he managed to face Ash, this despite having a very hard teaching method for the Pokémon of him.
